Salomon, the world’s #1 brand in trail running, will be having the annual Salomon X-trail Run this year, on July 23, 2017. This event has been present since 2008 in different countries — in Southeast Asia, it has been held annually in Malaysia, Singapore, HongKong, Indonesia & the Philippines. The Salomon ‘X-Trail’ branding is reputed to be a more technical trail running race, with mixture of different terrain surfaces including dirt, rocks, sand & concrete paths. Since 2011, the Salomon X-Trail Pilipinas event has been held in premier event venues including Subic Bay Freeport Zone, with more than 1,000 participants. Since its inception, the event has grown to be one of the most anticipated trail races in the Country, with participants coming from different regions and Southeast Asian countries alike.

For the past 5 years, Salomon Xtrail Run is reputed as one of the more well-attended trail event, and more than 40 million worth of estimated PR/ad placements. Target number of participants is 1,500. Race categories are Road-to-Trail with 6km & 12km distances and Mountain Run with 24km & 32km distances (a more technical category).

The Salomon Xtrail Pilipinas Race is a GREEN RUN. No disposables will be provided at the hydration stations. All participants MUST bring their own provisions. For the Mountain Run Categories, there will be a Mandatory gear check prior to race start. Mandatory gears include: Hydration pack/belt, and whistle.

RACE CATEGORIES

MOUNTAIN RUN

32KM

Targeted for advanced trail runners who look forward to adrenaline-filled adventures. This route involves a mixture of different terrains from asphalt, to sand, to rocks, to river crossing & technical ascents. This category simulates ascents of Skyrunning races – the arena wherein Salomon dominates.

Mandatory gear for this category: Whistle, Hydration Pack/belt, at least 500mL water. This will be checked prior to race start. No Mandatory gear, No race.

Race Kit Inclusions: Race bib, timing chip, Salomon Xtrail technical jersey, Salomon Race Cap, Post-race meal. Finisher’s medal for those who finish within cut-off time (7hours).

24KM

Targeted to trail runners who want to take their race to the next level, with technical ascents and varying terrain. This category simulates ascents of Skyrunning races – the arena wherein Salomon dominates.
Mandatory gear for this category: Whistle, Hydration Pack/belt, at least 500mL water. This will be checked prior to race start. No Mandatory gear, No race.
Race Kit Inclusions: Race bib, timing chip, Salomon Xtrail technical jersey, Salomon Race Cap, Post-race meal. Finisher’s medal for those who finish within cut-off time (5hours).

ROAD TO TRAIL

12KM

The 12 km “Road-to-trail” nature targets runners with basic trail running experience who wants to level up and experience technical terrain.

Race Kit Inclusions: Race bib, timing chip, Salomon Xtrail technical jersey, Post-race meal.

6KM

The 6km “Road-to-trail” category targets beginners who want to explore the world of trail running. Road runners are very welcome, to experience a different adrenaline rush.
